Born in Barry, South Glamorgan, Patricia has always practiced as an artist, but her first degree was in English Literature. Following her post-graduate teaching qualification in English, Art and Drama she taught in London for several years completing her formal Art training in 2003. Patricia has exhibited in many shows, both in London and Wales, winning The Welsh Artist of the Year, (student award), in 2001 and being selected for The National Eisteddfod in 2002.
Her current focus concerns the material nature of the painted surface -colour, form, space, texture and the resonances that can arise from the alchemy of materials.
