Patrick has a diploma from Heatherley's School of Art in Chelsea and another at The National College of Art and Design, Dublin. He has also been lucky enough to have been given extensive personal tuition by a close friend of Francis Bacon and a senior lecturer at The Royal Academy. His main influence are Degas, but also Schiele, Rembrandt, Klimt, Monet, Velasquez, Ribot, Picasso, Van Gogh and some modern British artists: Shaun Ferguson, Jenny Saville, Byroglyphics, Caroline Burraway and Michael Clark.
